The month started with the celebration of Diwali, the Festival of Lights, symbolising the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
And so, it seems apt to see out the month with an evening cycle around Dublin city centre, and invite our Monthly Cyclers to deck their bikes in festive lights!
We’ll meet in Smithfield on Wednesday, 24 November 2021, at 6pm.
- Sign up to our mailing list, and we’ll send out further details closer to the date.
Fancying up your bike is completely optional, and our route on the night will take in some of the Dublin Winter Lights, which were illuminated last night, and will continue until 1 January 2022. ✨
On our way, we’ll also stop for a warm cuppa and bite to eat, and will finish back at Smithfield (where we hope some of the venues might have further mulled refreshments on offer..!). Please also feel free to bring along your own refreshments, if you prefer.
Fair warning: I will probably be wearing a very unfashionable seasonal jumper.
Covid-19 – Important Information
Please note that, due to the spread of the highly transmissible Delta variant of the Covid virus, we’ll keep this event under review. Please keep an eye here or on our twitter feed for any updates or changes to our plans.
In the meantime, we ask that everyone on our Monthly Cycles events continue to observe social distancing, wear of face coverings and practice good hand hygiene.
Notwithstanding the progress made with the vaccine roll-out in Ireland, these measures are still very much needed.
Please visit our Covid information page for details, links and tips.
About Monthly Cycles
We’re a Dublin-based initiative, with the aim of bringing women in Dublin together each month for an inclusive cycle around the city. We hope to reach both those who are comfortable cycling, and those who are not quite there yet.
Please note: While we welcome all abilities, please be aware that participation is at your own risk.
We welcome everyone to join us, of all ages and abilities – there’s no pressure! These are social events, with the added bonuses of exploring the capital, sharing experiences, exchanging tips, and (very importantly) enjoying cake.
