This Sunday, 8th March, is International Women’s Day – and you betchya we’re holding our next Monthly Cycle then! 😀
We’re meeting at Drumcondra train station at 1pm. You can find our meeting point at this Google Maps link, here.
From there, we’ll take a leisurely spin along the banks of the Royal Canal, stopping off at a café for a sit-down with cake and tea/coffee at one of the Locks. 🙂
The grand stretch is well and truly here, but please do bring good working lights for your journey home by bike, just in case – and wrap up warm!
- If you’re wondering how to get to our meeting point by bike, here are a few possible options:
There’s a cycle bus at 12 noon from Heuston Station to Drumcondra Station, for anyone travelling from that direction who’d like to pedal with pals. The details and pick-up points are below, or send us a Direct Message on twitter:
12 noon – Meet at the front of Heuston Station: opposite the Luas
12:10pm – Depart from Heuston
12:20pm – Meet at Stoneybatter: bus stop outside Centra
12:35pm – Meet at Dorset St/Blessington St junction: outside Vish.Shop
12:50pm – Arrive at Drumcondra Station
Don’t forget, you can bring your bike on the DART and trains at weekends. So, anyone travelling by DART to Connolly Station can take a 10-15 minute cycle from there via Amiens Street and North Strand to turn on to the Royal Canal at Charleville Mall, exiting at Drumcondra Road (see route map here).
Or for those who know how to travel with ease as well as style, you can simply take the train directly to Drumcondra station – arrival times on Sunday are currently scheduled for 12:50pm and 1pm, so we can meet you just outside!
Finally, our facebook event can be found here – please share widely!
