We ask volunteers to sign up for this event, using this online form.
The reasons we ask volunteers to register are:
(a) to comply with Dublin Pride’s health & safety requirements for volunteers in the Dublin Pride March;
(b) to contact volunteers before 24 June 2023 with details of where to meet, what to expect, and safety information; and
(c) to facilitate contact tracing in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The personal data we gather is: name, email address, contact mobile phone number. These will be used only for the above-listed purposes, and will be deleted three months after 24 June 2023 (on 24 September 2023).

Purposes of processing personal data
The personal data we gather are: name, email address, mobile phone number.
The intended purposes of the processing of personal data are to co-ordinate volunteers in the Monthly Cycles “Pride Bike Bop” entry to the Dublin Pride March 2023. Volunteers will be in the roles of either speaker-bearer or marshall. In particular, these intended purposes are:
(a) to comply with Dublin Pride’s health & safety requirements for participants in the Dublin Pride March;
(b) to contact everyone before 24 June 2023 with details of where to meet, what to expect, and safety information; and
(c) to facilitate contact tracing in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Legal basis for the processing
The legal bases for processing of personal data are:
- Consent of the individual to provide their personal data for the above purposes;
- Vital Interests of the data subject (for example, in the event of a medical emergency).
Consent
In relation to the legal basis of Consent, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time.
This does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before Consent has been withdrawn. In addition, this does not affect the legal basis of Vital Interests, should processing on that basis be necessary.
Sharing of personal data
Data Processor: Our Data Processor is Google. Personal data is collected via our registration form using Google Forms and is stored on Google Sheets. This is done using a licenced version of Google Apps for Education, and administered by Joan O’Connell of Monthly Cycles.
Personal data will not be shared with any other party.
Retention of personal data
The personal data we gather is will be used only for the above-listed purposes, and will be deleted three months after 24 June 2023 (on 24 September 2023).
Your data protection rights
You have the right to:
- request from Monthly Cycles access to personal data relating to you (“Data Subject Access Request”);
- rectification or erasure of personal data relating to you (“Right to be Forgotten”);
- restriction of processing concerning you;
- object to processing; and
- data portability.
Complaints to the Data Protection Commission
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, which in Ireland is the Data Protection Commission (DPC).
